America Saves Week February 21 - 25, 2022
America Saves Week, along with Military Saves Month, is a time-honored event. It is a national opportunity for organizations to work together within their communities to transform the lives of millions of Americans.
Being financially resilient is more than owning a savings account. It includes understanding your current financial condition, knowing what tools and resources are available to you, and actively strengthening your financial capacity to withstand unexpected life events.
During America Saves Week, the NCUA encourages you to start planning for a healthier financial future. By working with your credit union to take control of your financial future, you can be better prepared for a financial emergency. To find a credit union in your area click here.
Take the Pledge!
Once you have a plan together, commit to your goal by taking the pledge to save.

Ready to Start Saving? Here are 3 Easy Steps to Get You Started:
Set a Goal. What do you want to save for? (School, car, home, paying off debt).
Make a Plan. How much do you need to save? How long will it take you? Contact your local credit union. Many offer free financial counseling to help develop a plan.
Save Automatically. Talk to your credit union about setting up automatic transfers into your savings account. Many employers also offer ways to have your pay automatically deposited into a savings account.
